She grew it.
She picked it.
She cut and cleaned it.
She toasted the seeds.
She drilled it better than Bob Villa.
She gave the cat a lobotomy.
And like a good little blogger, she photographed the final product.
I love this grainy shot.
The first polka dot pumpkin of the season has made it’s debut. There will be more to follow. I helped Lew’s class make a big one last year and he wants to do it again. It’s my preferred method....quick and easy.
Hooray for power tools and Halloween!
Two of my grandsons and I did the pumpkin thing this week--never thought about power tools! WOW. That would have put the project right over the top for them!!!!

ReplyDeletehappy weekend to you!

Oooh, I like the polka dot motif. I think I will copy Della for our Jack-O-Lantern this year. Also, I didn't know this until recently, but...if you are going to roast the pumpkin seeds, they turn out so much better & crunchier if you boil them in heavily salted water for 10 minutes before you roast them. They get nice and crispy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! I can see her concentration in the photos:)
ReplyDeleteLove the polka dot pumpkin, we do those around here too. And look at your girl with that power tool!
