tulips and deer popping up. |
The snow has melted for the most part. I must admit that it's a little scary when our yard is revealed to us. The trash in the yard is alarming. Damp and muddy socks ringing the trampoline. The balls? Soccer, lacrosse, tennis, football, golf, basketball. And the containers, who's been feeding what every night this winter? I picked up bags of trash. We are litter bugs, I tell you. Snow hides it in the winter and flowers in the summer. I better get planting.
Hello chives.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. This is my Q-tip bed, look they're sprouting, but someone has thrown in marbles, golf tees and clothespins.
We're still due for more snow, I'm sure. But the green gives me hope!
Does spring make you tired? I feel like I could sleep for weeks....
I am the opposite, spring makes me feel alive, I love it!!! Yes there is a ton of work, but it is so nice to be outside in the sunshine, working in the gardens and enjoying the yard.
ReplyDeletelove the green in that last shot. and no, spring is ok but summer? sheesh. i'd like to hibernate through it ;-)
ReplyDeleteSpring has me scrubbing walls and wanting to paint! I picked out a really nice lime green to do the walls in the family room, but Mike said no way! Now
ReplyDeleteI just need him to go out of town again and then I'm painting!:)
I could sleep this season away, thanks to allergies! Ugh! I'm on a lovely combination of holistic and pharmaceutical aids just to make it through a day! I love your Q-tip bed :) My 4 year-old was amazed! Haha. That's some magical dirt you have in Durango!
ReplyDeleteI really miss the mountains of the west after seeing antlers and tulips. Great combination my friend.
ReplyDeleteDid I ever tell you that your blog is a MUST READ every morning for my corporate hubby? I think he looks forward to me saying every morning..."You GOTTA see what Durango Mom wrote today!!!!!!" We used to take the kids out searching for antlers when we lived in Flagstaff and sell them to a guy who sells them to the Chinese for medicinal purposes. Our neighbors used to do the same to pay their taxes!! Better odds in finding antlers than winning the lottery! Ha!
ReplyDeleteSpring makes me feel all energized! Like I'm coming out from hibernation. Unless I get a sinus infection from all the pollen, then it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics! Especially the antlers, that is so cool.
Gotta love spring in Colorado. Shorts on one day. Coat the next!
ReplyDeleteSpring makes my naked toes sing with glee, my laundry dance on the line in the symphony of gusts from the lake, and makes the dirt from everywhere creep into the house on the crevices of my children's hands, faces and ears. Seriously. There is nothing better. Except summer, fall and winter. Love the changing of the leaf guard, in all its guises.
ReplyDeleteAnd spring means gin and tonics are just a few months away. That's good too.
