Melting crayons.

Swimming the gauntlet. Very chilly. And awesome.

Spotting trout. (and nests, and butterflies galore)

Catching salamanders and mud dogs. Thrilling!

Concocting sidewalk paint.

Making and gobbling raspberry cobbler and cream!

Max taught everyone how to make survival bracelets.

Della and I are off on a girls river trip for the rest of the week!
See you soon!

  4. Oh my, what a week! I've got to get my girls melting crayons. when I was a kid, I used to love to "paint" with melted crayons. My brother and I would sit for hours with a lit candle between us while we painted masterpieces with melted crayon tips. But you'd have to be a certain age, I suppose, from the fire safety aspect.
That raspberry cobbler looks delicious, but the salamander is turning my stomach! I'm wimpy like that.
