hello stubby pencil & a give away

I am so pleased to introduce my newest sponsor. Hello Stubby Pencil Studio! This mom-run company (Kate has twins!) offers beautiful art supplies, books, and creative gifts for kids that are earth friendly. I have been knee deep in her website and keep having 'aha' moments. Let's start with my boy.

Lewis wants it all. Anything that has to do with creating, drawing, sharks or monsters has his name written all over it. Throw in the fact that they are all eco-friendly, mostly recycled, thoughtfully sourced, and we have the perfect storm of gifts. Behold.

1. These crayon rocks, from natural waxes and tinted with kid friendly mineral powders, well...they rock. Sorry. They are my fave. Love them. The perfect shape for little hands, they last forever. $8.95

2. A sharky recycled sketchbook. All those clean white pages...just waiting. Bliss. Lots of awesome designs to choose from. $13.95

3. Throw in this flip book of clever monster designs. Shazaaam. $8.00

4. Drum roll please. I want this thing. Make this latex free putty into the creature of your choice, add eyes, then watch him melt. That's righteous. $11.95

Stubby Pencil Studio is one stop shopping for the children in your life. Are you gleaning that?

And while you're here, how about a very generous give-away from Kate and Stubby Pencil?! You can win a $50 dollar gift certificate for a holiday shopping spree. Santa would hardly need to stuff himself down the chimney if you win this one.

You've got three chances to enter!

1. Go here and like Stubby Pencil. Tell me you did it. 2. Peruse the Stubby Pencil website and tell us what your favorite products are in the comments below. Kate says she always loves to read these and get your feedback! 3. Like or follow Durango Mom. If you already do, then just tell me in a comment and leave a comment if you're new. That is a potential for three comments/entries.

I will announce the winner on Thursday Dec. 6 and post Della's fave's from Stubby Pencil very soon....she says she just can't decide.

Also, we have a Durango Mom discount code.

  15. Done. Super covet the eco highlighters. And new silver crayon rock! I thought I'd seen a set of carpenter's pencils there, but maybe that was just a dream.
    Liked all around!
I'll have more of a chance to play art with them once they grow a bit, right? SOmehow I have a 1.5 year old who insists on playing with markers too- not relaxing for mama!

I already "like/adore" you and my favorite item ( hard to pick only one) at "the Stub" ( as I like to call it) was the Cat Tweed notebook but I simply can't stand how wonderful and whimsical the Teachers Stationary is!

  21. Oh so many good things! We already have the Crayon Rocks. They are wonderful. For Christmas one year I bought like 10 packs and made little notebooks to go with them and gave them away to all of Indigo's friends for gifts. Crayon Rocks are super cool.

I think my new favorite product would be the Bee Hive Game. It looks intriguing. That or the hand stickers that turn your hands into animal faces.

Thanks for such an awesome giveaway!

  25. I already liked you on FB a while ago. I reposted your blog with the fabulous picture that says "a perfectly kept house are signs of a misspent life." I confused some people, but eh? I calmed myself down with the whole obsessive cleaning and went and did something else :)

  26. Stubby Pencil, I love those rainbow colored pencils and the book that has lines to follow through the book. I love the kitty egg crayons! I saw those on Esty about a year ago. I have two young kiddos so all of the kids art is awesome. I will definitely have to get some supplies for them. And X-Mas presents too!

  27. I liked Stubby Pencil. The rock crayons are a favorite at our house. My son has delayed fine motor skills and he is able to hold those much better than a long crayon.
