a word from my sponsors!

She painted this picture and gave it to Jennifer as a thank you. Unbidden.

Jennifer at Cartwheel Clothing has just gone too far. Look at that top on Della. Can you stand it? We were at the Farmer's Market the other day and Della was wandering and visiting with friends and different vendors and when we hooked up again she had on this precious top. Jennifer gave it to me, she said.  She wants me to ask you if that's OK.  The truth is this. Jennifer is one of those people that you might consider putting in your will as the permanent guardian of all your children should calamity strike. Just fabulous all the way around. So, yes, of course, it's all right. It's only the quintessential summer top. Adjustable ties on the shoulder, loose and cool, good with shorts or skirts or over a swimsuit and over a turtle neck in the fall, the cutest fabric ever seen....well, I guess I'll let you keep it.... She made me choose one of her new belt designs. Made me! She's relentless! It was almost impossible to choose. She sources her leather locally and the buckles are all interchangeable.
She also has wonderful new screenprint designs, and fun new fabrics for lunch bags.  Max gladly picked his out, because school is, dag nabbit, just around the corner!

Cartwheel Clothing will be at the Durango Farmer's Market on July 21st and August 11th from 8-noon!

Or go to www.cartwheelclothing.com and order that hot pink belt buckle with the brown leather strap pictured below and your darling little girl needs the 'Della' top.  (Jennifer, is it ok if I name it after my child?)
Seriously, you need to get your cartwheel on.
Have you done a cartwheel lately?
That's unrelated, I know, but a good thing to do, just to remind yourself of yourself.

And straight from Beehive and available here.....Designed by artist George Skelcher, this change purse will not burn your hands, pep you up or make you go to the bathroom, but it will carry around your money, chicken wings etc. Made to last with soft, faux leather. You need one.

And I'm just tacking this photo on because this was so amazing and it happened at the Farmer's Market. For the sake of clarity, Turtle lake is not a sponsor. Katrina lives down below us and runs Turtle Lake Refuge and they concoct the most amazing foods from mostly foraged plants, nuts, seeds, weeds, etc. They truly never cease to amaze me. They have a little restaurant located in a back alley that is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:11-2:22. It's by donation and is mostly raw and living food.

They were serving this at the market.
It's some of the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had and it's neither chocolate nor cream. (And I am a bad ice cream snob.) It's a cashew fig cacao dream. The cone was dried fruits and was crunchy and yummy. It was so rich I could hardly eat it all.
Katrina has a cookbook.
That's all.
Support those good people who work hard to sell their passion.
It feels so right!
