The temperature is dropping, snow is falling in fits and bursts, and I haven't left the house today. The fire is blazing and we had a late breakfast of vanilla steamers, bacon, scrambled eggs, and seriously buttered toast. Sometimes there is nothing better than plain old toast.

Max's room has undergone a redo with a piece of furniture that we found on the side of the road. My kids LOVE to redo their rooms. It's actually sort of a hobby of theirs. 

Max told a stupid joke and Della, unbeknownst, delivered the rollicking punchline.

Max: What do call a cat that walks on two legs?

....Garfield.

What do you call a mouse that walks on two legs?

....Micky Mouse.

What do you call a dog that walks on two legs?

...Goofy.

What do you call a duck that walks on two legs?

And I was going to say Donald, because I'm sharp as a tack, but Della screams out:

"VAGINA!!!"

And we all just stare at her. 

And then die laughing.

And I am transported straight back to the Thomasville Library where she boldly asked the librarian for Vagina Puddleduck. That would be Jemima Puddleduck for all you Beatrix Potter fans.

She was two.
